The investigation initiated by the Turkish Competition Board (“The Board”) to determine whether Article 4 of Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition (“The Law”) was violated by certain undertakings operating in the ready-mixed concrete production sector has been concluded.
As a result of the Board’s deliberations dated 15 May 2025:
- It was determined that four undertakings active in the production of ready-mixed concrete violated Article 4 of the Law by exchanging competitively sensitive information regarding employee wages. Accordingly, the Board resolved to impose administrative fines on these undertakings in the following amounts:
- TRY 845,902.88
- TRY 1,138,695.79
- TRY 842,097.73
- TRY 1,329,814.33
- With respect to the other undertakings examined within the scope of the investigation, no evidence was found indicating a violation of Article 4 of the Law. Therefore, the Board concluded that there was no need to impose administrative fines on these undertakings.
