DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION FROM GRATIS DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN TRADE A.S.

In accordance with the provision of article 12 paragraph 5 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, Gratis Domestic and Foreign Trade A.S. sent a notification to the Turkish Data Protection Board (“the Board”) on 09.03.2020. With this notification, Gratis has informed the Board as a data controller on these subjects;
- The breach occurred between 04.03.2020 and 06.03.2020 and detected on 06.03.2020,
- An e-mail was received from an unidentified person on 06.03.2020 to the Company's e-mail address indicating that the e-mail addresses / passwords of the Company website members were compromised,
- With the e-mail addresses / passwords obtained from external sources, more than one IP login attempts were made to the Gratis.com site of the company, and after each unsuccessful attempt, another e-mail / password attempt was made,
- Identity, communication and customer transaction data are the categories of personal data affected by the breach,
- The estimated number of people affected by the breach is 2092 users,
- Data subjects would be able to receive information about the data breach at info@gratis.com and call center by phone number 0 850 210 69.
It has been stated in the public announcement published on the website of the Board that the investigation on the subject is still ongoing.
