TURKEY LIFTS THE ADVERTISING BAN ON TWITTER INC.

The decision on lifting the advertising ban on Twitter Inc. concluded by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) published in Official Gazette, dated 24.04.2021 and numbered 31464.

As known, Twitter Inc. agreed to a requirement to appoint a local representative in Turkey in accordance with the new social Media Law numbered 7253[1] that entered into force in October 2020. Following the fulfilling this obligation, the ICTA decided to remove the advertising ban on Twitter Inc. (the decision dated 22.04.2021 and numbered 28123.)
