THE REGULATION ON GREEN PASSPORT FOR LAWYERS HAS BEEN PUBLISHED !

The Ministry of the Interior has published the regulation regarding “the Formation of Personal Stamped Passport for Lawyers” in the Official Gazette numbered 31011 on 17 January 2020. The regulation is to determine the procedures and basis for giving lawyers personal stamped passport known as “green passport”.

Under the regulation, the green passport is given to those who have been working in law as a lawyer more than 15 years. In the calculation of the period herein, the period in “bar sheet” shall be considered.  Moreover, the period for a lawyer which is passed in Public İnstitutions by working shall also be considered. The bars or the Union of Turkish Bar Associations shall be authorised to confirm that the period has been completed 15 years in question.

The regulation is put in force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
