THE TURKISH COMPETITION AUTHORITY : THE INVESTIGATION ABOUT V.O.S.S VARINAK HAS BEEN COMPLETED

The proceeding regarding whether V.O.S.S Varinak (V.O.S.S. Varinak Onkoloji Sistemleri Satış ve Servis A.Ş.) who is the only distributor of Varian Medical System Inc in Turkey  infringed article 6 of the Law numbered 4054 by abusing its dominant position has been completed.

The decision of the Turkish Competition Authority is as follows;

1. V.O.S.S Varinak is the dominant position in the market of maintain and repair of linear accelerator devices and of treatment control system,
2. V.O.S.S Varinak breached article 6 of the Law numbered 4054 by restraining of trade of its competitors,
3. Therefore, V.O.S.S Varinak was fined of %1 of its gross income accrued at the end of the financial year of 2018.

Judicial review for the decision before Ankara Administrative Courts shall be possible within 60 days as of the notification of the reasoned decision.
