Issam Benhssine has over nine years of experience working in the legal field. He worked since 2010 as a lawyer at the Moroccan Industrial and Commercial Property Office, promoting industrial property rights for both creators and innovators and dealing with anti-counterfeiting measures and procedures at the national, regional and international levels.

He is currently the General Manager of IB FOR IP, an abbreviation of Issam Benhssine for Intellectual Property, which is an intellectual property law firm founded in August 2018 and based in Casablanca, Morocco.

Issam continues his PhD studies at Hassan Second University of Casablanca (Morocco) on the dialectical relationship between intellectual property and human rights. He participated to numerous international events on intellectual property and international law, has written articles and provided trainings in the fields of intellectual property law and innovation.

He is a columnist for Revue Rechange Maroc. He is fluent at Arabic, French and English and knows Italian, Spanish and Chinese at a basic level. He also has training certificates from USPTO, JPO, Morocco Customs & Excise Administration and Moroccan Industrial and Commercial Property Office (OMPIC).
