Since 2015, Şeyma practices as a lawyer. Her expertises involves Intellectual Property Law, Information Technology Law, Internet Law, Electronic Commerce, Data Protection & Privacy and Media Law as well as Labor Law and Litigation.

Şeyma completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2015. She received her advanced LL.M. degree on "Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law" at Leibniz University-Institute for Legal Informatics, Hannover, Germany. She completed the second half of her masters at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Her thesis topic is “The Purpose Limitation Principle of EU Data Protection Law and the Way It Is Being Challenged by Industry 4.0 and Big Data”.

She has participated in many conferences and workshops mainly in Belgium, Germany and Denmark, focusing on personal data protection, artificial intelligence (AI) and the development of intellectual property in the age of technology.

She is fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of German.
