The use of systems using artificial intelligence (AI) has increased for several years, and with this trend comes new data protection issues. To inform and protect rights, and for its mandate to promote compliance and innovation, the CNIL offers a set of contents dedicated to AI.

About these Resources;

  • These resources are part of a European strategy to promote excellence in artificial intelligence, as well as the guidelines for ensuring the credibility of these Technologies, and its aim is to develop a robust regulatory framework for artificial intelligence based on human rights and fundamental values, thereby building trust among European citizens. This content is intended for professionals (data controllers or processors) who implement or want to do personal data processing based on AI systems and are wondering how to comply with the GDPR.
  • The CNIL provides a reminder of its position on the main principles of the French Data Protection Act and the GDPR to be followed, as well as certain more specific aspects.

The CNIL provides organizations with a practical tool to self-assess the maturity of their AI systems in relation to the GDPR.
