Draft Documents Regarding Standard Contracts and Binding Corporate Rules to be Used in the Transfer of Personal Data out of Türkiye Opened for Public Consultation by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority

According to the announcement of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority ("Authority") dated May 17, 2024; draft documents regarding the standard contract and binding corporate rules, which are envisaged as appropriate assurance methods for the transfer of personal data abroad in accordance with Article 9 titled "Transfer of personal data abroad" of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), have been published.

The Authority has requested those interested to send their opinions and assessments in a processable format to the e-mail address aktarim@kvkk.gov.tr until 27/5/2024 and the opinions to be received after the specified date will not be taken into consideration.
