DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION FROM DOGA SIGORTA A.S.

In accordance with the provision of article 12 paragraph 5 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, Doga Sigorta A.S. sent a notification to the Turkish Data Protection Board (“the Board”) on 06.03.2020. With this notification, Doga Sigorta has informed the Board as a data controller on these subjects;

  • The breach occurred and detected 28.02.2020,
  • The breach has been occurred due to hacking of the test server of the Company’s website,
  • The personal data affected by the breach is information about identity, communication, license plate, vehicle license, e-mail and finance,
  • The estimated number of people affected by the breach is 300 users,
  • Data subjects would be able to receive information about the data breach at https://www.dogasigorta.com/.

 

It has been stated in the public announcement published on the website of the Board that the investigation on the subject is still ongoing.
